have scrubed the pulleys ajusted the belt today on the pump and it still squeals at the start of the spin, they are not maytag belts, all in all she still runs like a charm, did 4 loads of wash today. Thanks, Mike

are you sure it's the belt and not the pump itself....we had these at work and the harsh chemicals would eat at the inside of the pump and would start to squeal at the start of spin or wash...thats how we knew they needed replaced...only problem with 10 machines running...which one was doing it!

I have 2 maytags with frigidaire replacement belts on them...partstore.com...these were equal to maytags...according to them...alot cheaper...big time! and they run fine...just a thought...
