I saw the thread with the Whirlpool Gold dishwasher and i decided to post..
I am moving into a brand new 1500 sq foot town house with a crappy BOL dura wash whirlpool (has on and off and a heated dry switch)... I refuse to use it..

If anyone spots either a Kenmore Ultra Wash from about 1995-2001ish (non tall tub)in uber good shape, or a really nice olde GE Postscrubber or a Whirlpool Gold lemme know... I want something as close to TOL as i can get touch pads are a must).. White or black is fine.... I will update my profile with my new email (i deleted both my emails).. Also Stevet would you email me.. I lost your address and i have something for you..

I am in Las Vegas now btw..

My first apartment

had a similar Whirlpool dishwasher, and it cleaned quite well.

I would give it a fair shake and then decide.

Lawernce

I have had a 2001ish vinatge version of this dishwasher when i lived back east.. ANd i hated it then... the tube stuck up in the center of the lower rack killed me..

True.. If it was a basic frigidaire it too would be gone...

You can still get the great Powerclean dishwashers from Sears. My Mom bought one last year and it is a hell of a dishwasher..Go to Sears and look for the Kenmores the standard tub. They still have the Exact Pump 1/3 Hp and will clean anything. Here is the link www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605...

They are NOT quite that is for sure but to me that is a good thing.I have dumped whole plates of food and everything in it the intake hole are large.Last nite I put a half a Pie in it and I never rinse or scrape anything. The dishwasher will take it all its the only one that comes close to a Old K.A. dishwasher. They come out spotless
