How do you put a Kenmore agitator back togethyer as in top and bottom parts after they have been sperated from each other? I know how to replace the dogs just fine.

once you put the top part on or "corkscrew" there is a center piece that the dogs are attached to, just insert it in the center, there should be a grove to line it up, make sure the dogs are facing up, it can get kind of tricky b cuz the dogs can fall out while ur trying to get it in place. it should just snap in place, you will see a little tab at the bottom that it snaps into. once it is installed in the machine the bolt at the top should pretty much hold everything together.

some agitators do not have a rubber seal at the bottom, mine had a plastic washer that went between the corckscrew and the base of the agitator.

Well I know I'm not losing my mind because this is how I've always done it as shown above. Maybe it's the new one that has me stumpted. I am currently messing around with a new model Kenmore and the agitater come apart on me and I cant get it back together to save my life. I will most likely go back in with one from an older machine as I have plenty of these. Maybe it is the new one thats different?

would this be an agitator thats called a TRIPLE?...usually found in kenmores only...it has a spring inside that allows the auger to "bounce" up and down as it washes...that i believe is only one that is different from all the rest....other than that they all go together the same way....with your eyes closed!...
