It's not much, but I have finally been able to get hubby's blessing (well, maybe not that) to create a laundry room in our basement in Ogden.
The basement has been a dumping ground since we moved in - it was full of boxes until we built the garage and then the counter for the kitchen centre was down there while I worked on it, but now.... The washers will be reunited on one wall, dryers on another due to plumbing and venting limitations. The dishwashers will be somehow in between. I am planning on adding a laundry tub (hey, the Inglis IS a suds-saver, so I have to, right??) and somehow adding a counter for hubby to use a bar, too. Lots of work to do, but it will be fun!!
Call these the 'Before' pictures - this is the current insallation of the Inglis set (the current daily drivers)

Add one Frigidaire...

The WDAC-63 has been liberated from exile in the garage (did that while hubby wasn't looking LOL). Note the space next to the Frigidaire - this is set-in-stone-reserved-space for the Westy L5 which I hope will join the collection this fall!!

The Maytag top-loader and Kenmore dishwashers are staying where they are for the moment. Still need to play with the Maytag and try it out. Hubby actually bought me the rack stops that I need to keep the upper swinging rack in place for my birthday this year. People think I'm nuts, but that was the best present I got!!

The colourful wall!

Pink and turquoise look fine together, but OY! That purple wall has to go!
The recent Frigidaire will live here until I can build a cabinet. The poor old GE Princess dishwasher is staying put unitl (I hope) I can finalize the deal on the GE Filter-Flo pull-out I found a while ago in Michigan. I hope that when I get that machine, I can use the Princess as a parts donor.
The Kelvy range looks a bit odd where it is, but I don't mind!

Banished!

The 2004 GE washer and dryer are now officially 'stored'. I hesitate to get rid of them, just in case the Magic Chef set in the apartment in town go fizz-bang-kapow on me. That dishwasher near the stairs, too, is not going anywhere. It's a mid to late 80's TOL reverse-rack Maytag that I finally got working properly just before we re-did the kitchen. The wall oven was a garage-sale find that my 82-year-old father got for me - he wasn't sure of the colour, but he thought it was 'pink enough'... I am going to re-paint that door turquoise to match a GE cooktop I have in storage.
So, I have my work cut out for me... But I have to get that Westy going first!!

Very nice!

You have some beautiful machines! I would love to have a kitchen full of turquoise appliances - but alas, for now it is not to be :)

You and I both have our hands full with moving things around. I'm knee-deep in sitting-room-to-pantry conversion....but that's another post.

Let's just say, I feel your pain. Hey, if you come to Michigan to pick up that filter-flo, make your way up to Bay City. We'll drink cocktails, watch Marilyn Monroe movies, and sit up and gab all night long :)

Cool!

If I wind up picking it up, you are on!! Likewise, if you are ever in Montreal or upstate Vermont, let me know!
I seem to be cursed with moving things around frequently, but hey, it can be good exercise, right?
Hope the conversion and renovation goes well!
Say, did you wind up picking a dishwasher for your kitchen?
If my Hubby was on the board he'd be offering you several... LOL

Be sure that Frigidaire washer has unrestricted and full water pressure to insure complete fills!
You've got a great collection and I'm sure it will be a showroom down there before long!

What's that on top of the fridge?

Is it part of a cabinet set?

Great space with great potential - you've become a full-fledged collector now, no turning back!

Yes, Toggle

I got a KDS 18 Superba - found it in a restore for $20, and the interior is cherry. I am redoing the sitting room around this unit :)

Oops - sorry T-dude!

Sorry - I said "Toggle" and I meant "Turquoisedude"! I caught my error right after I hit the post button!

It's a good think I'm cute! I always have that to fall back on when smart fails me :)
