Woulda if make sense to mount the control panel closer to the front than on the side for easy access?
Most likely he was punch drunk when they put this together!

If the control panel had been mounted closer to the front, it woiuld have worked for those in a wheelchair as well as little people

They suggest that it was stacked above a normal washer, high enough that the lid of the washer could open for loading. I don't see how anyone who's vertically challenged could reach the back of the dryer if mounted that way. Something doesn't sound right about this.

That is exactly what crossed my mind. I mess around with customizing, like making a regular DD a portable. And I have thought about making a stack unit by dropping the dryer panel to the bottom of the machine. But the side? that makes no sense.
