My brothers dishwasher's motor is going out.Its a midline G.E. machine made in 86 or so.It has the overhead rinse on it he told me that much, they just bought the house and I have'nt seen it yet.I was wondering are the newer motors out that they have that kit is it less powerful than the black motor that is in it now?My Mamaw had a Magic chief circa 85 and it was a killer dishwasher even though it has that pop up tower on it.I love thoese washers that big metal wash arm and its still running fine.I was wondering should I look for a rebuilt black motor or go for the newer one.Is the black sidewinder more powerful than that new 1.8 Amp one out now?G.E. dishwashers are good I think they an't no K.A. but they do wash..

Try a Frigidare if you think the Ge's are bad..G.E. dishwashers are not all that bad thats the truth. They are NOOO Kitchenaid(OLD Kitchenaids)but the Trinton dishwashers I have used were very quite and washed good.I am just wondering if there was a power differnce between the old black motors and the new ones. |
