I quite liked the Aqualtis but I'm quite shocked at the figures! If you look at the video the cycle time was 2h45 for 8kgs and 2h40 for 1kg!! The only major drop was in water consumption, 8kg = 70l, 1kg = 45l... although to me that doesn't sound like the water levels were adjusted. I'd imagine the 25l reduction, was purely less water that was absorbed by the smaller load at the beginning of the cycle and the start of each rinse, as opposed to a reduction in water levels / rinsing. and even then water consumption for 1kg was still 45l... Most machines use that for a full 6kg load. Saving resources and adapting to the load isn't much to ask now days! Especially from a well know name like Hotpoint. (Its not like its new technology only found on high end machines) *rant over* :D |
