Folks, time to free up some space around here. I'm offering up a matched set of center dial tags in the elusive "Light Almond". Yes, almond porcelain enamel tops. FREE...with 2 little caveats- 1. You gotta pick 'em up, and 2. Please don't part 'em out (they're pretty decent).

OK, here goes. First the 806. I plugged it in tonight and the light flicked so a bulb or starter should get that going. The water valves pulled right in, but no motor action to speak of. Actually, without water level satisfied, it shouldn't start anyway. Guess I should have tried spin.

Porcelain top is mint. Tub looks terrific, front panel could use a respray (attack of some laundry chemical?) (dark area is my shadow). Cleanish spot is where I took a rag to the front. A good wipe down would help. A new set of buttons would be in order.

Tub shot- pretty clean for not having, well, cleaned it. That's NOT rust, just some leaf debris.

The dryer is pretty darn minty. Excellent chrome. No fade of the gold controls. Good panels all around. No cord but I have a suspicion it's in working order seeing as its brother-washer was with it and they're typically the first to fail.

The set i should have bought april, 1978, instead of the FF. But I dind't have all the money to pay cash (nor did my new master card have a credit limit high enough to charg) and I could only get these at a Maytag store :-(, not Foleys the Dept. store where I could have gotten a 606 and almost did, but got bedazzeled by the FF.

Go for it, Dan! You can fit them both in your sedan if you take them apart first... LOL!

Kind of a long drive, lol.

Yep, everything will fit with the exception of the cabinet. Ah hell, that's what the roof is for :)

DOH, make that 3 806 washers. Can't believe I forgot about one of my children!! I'm such a bad parent, lol.
