I have a Maytag A107 automatic that will not continue on its own thru each cycle - If you manually advance the machine using the dial it will operate in each stage of the wash/rinse/spin/etc..., but will not advance on its own - it's very laborious having to baby-sit the washer thru the process.

Please assume in your answer that your speaking to a beginner, who knows virtually nothing about these issues, nor the "lango"...

Thanks in advance -

Casey

Timer not advancing--

It sounds like either your timer isn't advancing due to either a loose wire or it took a dump. The timer is easy to replace but may be hard to locate.Anyone here that has one???

Definitely a timer issue. It could be as easy as replacing a timer motor, but without a little electrical background, it's probably better to replace the entire timer. There's one on ebay right now.

Talk about an ultimate score!

Let me guess, you got it working with a very minor repair?
