oh

Thanks for posting this Gary, Paul is this the match for the electron 1100 energy control eds, I hope the answer is no and the colour match is coincidence etc etc, and therefore I need not worry, lol. However I fear you saying yes it is the match and it needs saving in with my exclusives section, hang on for an answer Gary.

But to your original question, no you/ we don't need another dryer lol.

keep up the salvageing Gary, by the way the servis spinner mk44 works but the outlet spout will need to be rebuilt somehow,

Mathew

Hi Mathew

I don't think it is as I had an electron 1100 eds and the panel was grey. I thought it was when I saw the pics but when Gary said its a reddy brown colour I think maybe its not. Then again maybe I only have in my head it was grey. It looks like the same colour as Garys now I look at the pics again. Paul will know.

Pic attached of my electron eds

Mat
Im glad about the servis but yes the spout will need rebuilding/shaping etc

We dont need another Hoover..........bah! yerr all know what its like, it was on mind since Monday when I first saw it, and when it was confirmed that it was an "E" model i decided to get it yesterday........so now i have to see if i can put it on the patio........ah well here we go again :-)

Well I have taken a few more fots, and i would say even though i cannot recreate the lighting conditions that your machine Mark was taken they are the same colour, a sort of reddy/grey/brown

more fots

few more showing the densely packed fluff I removed from the filter, i reckon they cleaned it, or very rarely which would cause the thermal cuts out toperate on the heater.

For all that the machine is working well

August 1984

hi guys.

so that was the mystery dryer you described to me.

rather like it I have to say.

The D6196 fills in a mystery gap for me, as I have never seen this particular machine before. So, when i get back of the weeks break, i will update the spread sheet.

As Mark states, the D6196 was the matching dryer to the A3294, but was the second dryer to be sold as such.

The machine it replaced, the D6164, was also sold alongside the A3294 and appeared in the Terry and June advert for the elctricity board. Picture from RobM's collection.

The D6196 was replaced by model D6222 - again a machine that I havent sen before. What is it with the leccy board models - rarer than the run of the mill machines, it would seem.

Congrats on the dryer gary and thanks for Saturday - all had a fantastic time.

cheers
paul
p.s hi Mathew. as far as your A3394 Eds machine is concerned, it is my understanding that its matching dryer is model D6222, so you can relax with that one. Watch a D6222 turn up now!
