Today I was ashamed to learn that the lower basket for my Indesit dishwasher costs 115 euros to replace! For a machine which original price in 2006 was 299€!
Those people are crazy, but I guess I should blame my stupid flatmate as he crushed 4 tines in it because of pushing hard everything and they started rusting. But still I didn't think that it would have been that expensive to change it!
At least the new replacement has foldable tines and this won't happen anymore.
Oh, and more, guess it, the lower basket is the new model for all the current line of Ariston/Hotpoint, Indesit and even Sholtes dishwashers! They're all the same!

What about going behind Unieuro/Euronics/MediaWorld/Darty and "steal" one from a discarded machine ??
Maybe you'll do some attempt, by the way you'd save 115 € ...

The must be made of gold.

Replacement racks for my Whirlpool are anywhere from $95.00 to $115.00. A friends neighbor was throwing out a Whirlpool and I went over and asked if I could have the racks, he said help yourself, so I did. There's a used appliance store down the road from me and they told me I could look for racks in their junk machine in the back.

Sad enough but now my pockets are way much lighter :(
I bought it because I tought it was a fair price as over the net it was 89€ + shipping.
I didn't think about used as I have no idea where to find deceased machines.
