i've got louds of cosins in South africa, 2 families came along a month ago. My grandads sister was the eldest from them all and her children. They told me they have a full size dishwasher which is used everyday due to their large family. BTW- They're huse is double storey which is very rare near their area. |

Have one of these in service at work. Got it off Craigslist and rigged it to work only from the cold supply. (my office is an old auto shop in a high school built in the 1940s, the only easy tap in was an old water fountain) Its been in service for nearly 3 years now, at least one load of coffee mugs, small plates and stainless coffee filters every day. Sani-Mode heats the water to near scalding, even from mains cold, and it will deform certain plastics. Had an issue with the gasket around the window which we solved with silicone sealant. Occasionally the timer will stick and the machine will run for a few hours. Other than that, the little machine has worked it butt off and does a wonderful job making sure we're not trading germs in the office.

Danby is just another name. Guess who manufactures these ...... Midea again! I bought one a couple of years ago on CL here, cleaned the limescale out and used it a bunch while remodeling the kitchen. Never missed a dish but the filter did need cleaning relatively often but if done after every load, it wouldn't cause any trouble. I loved the sani cycle - I think the thermostat was about 160'ish.
