The BF and I were at the local Menards and we came across a full size Haier dishwasher, model #ESD402. It had controls on the top edge of the door, and many of the bells and whistles that other higher priced dishwashers have. It comes in black, white, or stainless steel. The ad said it was an Ultra Quite 3: 57db, dual pump, multi-direction wash for only $299.
Does anyone know of or own one of these? What is the performance like? What is the history on these dishwashers?

I wouldn't waste my money on it. Friends of mine have a portable Haier with a stainless interior and it is a terrible machine. They don't even use it, anymore. You'd be better off with a BOL Frigidaire---that's how bad they are.

Could it be 3.57 db?

It could be 3.57 db----if it's not running!

My LG is rated at a very hushed 45 db., and it has no filters to deal with. It claims to be the quietest dw with a food disposer.

The newest TOL Bosch/KitchenAids are rated at 40 db. They claim to be the quietest machines on the market, period. They don't have a food disposer, so you have to clean filters.

45 db is extremely quiet. I'll forget it's running when I'm busy in the kitchen and inadvertently pull the door open to put something in. I never notice when it switches from washing the upper rack to washing the lower rack.
