OK... this was my first time shooting video, so please forgive the camera movement as I do not have a tripod. This first one is starting the Lady K. CLICK HERE TO GO TO revvinkevin's LINK |

AWESOME!!!! I love the sound of that rapid-advance timer setting up the cycle. It's sounds even more 50's-futuristic indoors----like several typewriters going at it simultaneously. Have you tried the suds return mode, yet? Press a cycle button. As soon as the clicking begins, move the suds lever over to return. It will agitate for 4 minutes, then stop and rapid-advance to the cycle you've selected. It will fill with more water, if needed, and continue on. The suds-save function is not available on Cold Water Wash or the Wash 'n' Wear cycles. Be sure to check those W&W cycles out, too. The cool-down protocol is boring, but absolutely doesn't set-in any wrinkles. It's merely a process of partial drains and refills, with no agitation. The Sturdy cycle agitates for 4 minutes at high speed, then kicks down to slow for 4 minutes. If you push the cycle button back to the neutral position during the suds return cycle, the machine agitate for 4 minutes, then rapid-advance around the whole cycle "dial" and shut off. I grew up with a 1960 Model 80, which is very similar to this machine, and I was so bored with it by the time I was in high school. Now, I think they're absolutely cool. I found the '59 I had, all too briefly, in the early 90's. I sold it to a Hispanic couple who had just had a baby and needed a used machine. The machine I sold them had never been used til I carted it home. And I didn't use it as my daily driver. I also had a Gibson front-loader (pre-Electrolux) and a mid-70's Frigidaire 1-18 in the laundry room. Excuse me, but it's time for my daily kicking, LOL. |

Thanks for the great videos! I totally amazed that a machine made 50 years ago, runs as good if not better than some of the machines made today. The rapid advance timer sounds so cool. |

Are my eyes going nuts or is the tub indexing during wash? |

Darren, this is not my machine, I just posted photos and video to help the owner sell it. It worked as it's now sold! Steven, Yes the tub was indexing a bit, but I noticed the more it was used, the less it indexed. It's probably because it's been sitting a while. When we first plugged it in and selected "spin only", I had to turn the tub by hand to start it spinning. Once I did that it was fine. |
