it was a bargain and i couldn't resist, i feel bad cause i didn't consult to forum first... will i regret it? its a visionHD964 it was only £400 brand new, and it has the super-silent motor which is great since we are always hanging out in my kitchen. i really wanted a miele but unfortunately the w5740 is a little out of my budget at the moment!!

I also would have preferred a machine with a jet system, but it isn't included in this model - or any hoover models (correct me if i'm wrong)?

the point is anything ANYTHING is better than a bosch maxx WFl2xxx series machine....Right?

I dont want to be a spoil sport but.....

Just remember what happened with samsungfl's old Hoover Vision 8kg.Is yours 9kg?

Hope the machine serves you well! I think the exterior and the drum look cool!

My best friends got that same model. Well, he's has not gone wrong so far, its about a year old and great plus working hard for a large family.

Good luck with yours too, it is silent though so im sure you'll like it!

what happened with his? (i haven't been around here long!)

admittedly the drum looks pretty cool! its very gentle, i loaded it up to capacity yesterday, and it washed very well, good rinse levels too!

i ran it through first with nothing in it, and pattern the paddles make in the water is a swilling whirlpool rather than a frantic splash! gonna run some of the other cycles when i get home from work - i'll also post some pix soon :o)

His model had the standard motor and it had many repairs and probs, now he has a miele w3922wps.

Thats story cut short, and it happened within 6 months or so.

Your machine wont do that, the first lot of the Hoover vision range had the powerjet, but that was short lived. Samsungfl's (a.k.a Richards) machine was in the next range and did not have the power jet, however had countless problems with the motor burning out on his but for no apparent reason! Apparently the motor that was fitted to his was a standard brush motor that was only designed to turn 6kg of laundry! Not 8kg! Eventually other things went wrong on it and it started to sound like this (see link).

However I have heard good things about the ones with induction motors, so I wish you many happy wash days with your new machine, I know how exciting it is to get something new! lol

As is possibly the case with other 'large capacity' machines, don't always run it at full capacity, be abit sympathetic to it when loading it with towels, that sorta thing.

VisionHD's do look nice though, hopefully it'll last for you.

I can't help but think Hoover thought they were naming a flat screen TV though!

Hi Brandon, yeah I wanted a vision with the powerjet but as they don't make them anymore I now have a Beko powerjet model. If one turns up on ebay though I might be tempted. There must be a few out there of the powerjet variety. Post some vids of the empty machine if you get chance so we can see the swirling action.
Have fun

Steve
