This rather beautiful condensor dryer came into work this work this week, the owner said it stopped working.
Beautifully made and built i intend to get it working.
I think it is from the 1990s

Gary

Though I am not into post 1980 machines this one really impressed me, when i moved to Cornwall some 9 years ago my partner had an AEG Lavamat 800 from the same range.

Bloomin heck!

Another great claim there Gary.

Looks in superb condition and appears that AEG had the white plastic lark sorted, where as hoover and hotpoint hadnt. namely its still white, after all the years.

good luck with the repair and keep us updated with how it goes.

Thanks Paul

Yes they definately did use a superior grade of white plastic, mals old 800 AEG is still going strong in a freinds house and that is still white aswell.

Quite a complex machine but i will have a go, as i said i am impressed with its build quality.

Paul
Have you ever heard of "invicible" vacuum cleaners? I got one today but know nothing about it, other than it was made in Dudley

sorry this is off topic, but that vacuum cleaner is as far as i can make out a CWS (Co-operative Wholesale Society) Invincible model

AEG is all sorted out and working really well, what a nice machine.
If the previous owners had bothered to clean the lint filter and heat exchanger it probably would have carried on working

eh oop Gary.

My vac knowledge only really got started two years ago, after my love for washers and dryers was corrupted to include vacs.

The Invincible is a otally new one on me and I have saved some piccies of it onto my comp, for future reference.

Congratulations on the AEG repair - wish I had the skill of your good self and Mathew. I just need the confidence to get stuck in and live a bit dangerously! Not too dangerously though.

I am sure that, whetever you do with the AEG, it will return the favour to its saviour.

Paul

Cheers Paul

Well i will be doing some proper pictures of it as i am going to put it on egay.

I have asked Mike but nothing back so I dunno, googled it and one item came back mentioning an upright made by them

Try it out Paul machines (specially the ones we like) are basically simple..........just full of mains power :-)

Am pleased with the AEG it is nice to work on a upmarket machine but for all that i suspect that will end up on ye olde auction site aswell

Cheers
Gary

Hiya.

Good luck with the sale.

Once the electron 1100 comes in for spares reclamation (for those who dont know, pop over and see Gary's ebay electron 600 thread), it will be me taking it to pieces and messing around with it.
Get that learning curve started and all that.

Paul

Good machine to start with Paul, dead easy to strip down.......once you have taken that apart, youll be able to do any of the old Hoovers.......

and if you need help well there is always Mat and Me :-)

Cheers mate :-)

Will take it apart like my dad would - slowly and methodically. Might even try put it back together again too.

Its a rusty machine which, at the moment is sat upside down in a scrap pile. Its not a go-er, is rusty on the front, and will provide (hopefully) a useful spares source for our preserved A3350.
