Maytag Wringer?

macboy91si's profile picture
I didn't know they made the wringers in pink or with the automatics agitator. Is this a creation or did Maytag make these. I agree it's a nice machine. Any more info?

Model E2L or E2LP ?

I see the back manufacturer's plate shows Model E2L ... but I thought pump models always included a "P" in the number.

Any thoughts?

I was going to guess Robert, LOL.

Looks good. I wonder how it would look next to my harvest gold 806?

Nice Model E2. Maytag had available a lint filter agitator at the dealer for the conventional/wringer washers. The automatics have a taller drive post than the wringers - therefore you cannot interchange the two. These days the filter gyrators are pretty tough to find for the conventionals.

I agree, the sticker should say E2LP, but I've seen stranger things come across. With all the pump items painted in pink I gather it is factory.

Nice price too!

Ben

If that machine were mine and I was trying to sell it, I'd lie and say it once belonged to Jayne Mansfield. Just to add authenticity, I'd toss in a couple of Maidenform 48 Triple D brassieres with the heavy duty straps.

E2L/E2LP?

As i understood the pump was an option on older models. It think it wasnt til the early or mid 70's that is was standard on some models and an option on others.

Is it pink, or is it the lighting?

It definitely is PINK!

I e-mailed the owner - it is pink!
Can't believe nobody here on AW is bidding on it!
Man, I wish I could find a reasonable way of shipping it. I would love that machine!

If the seller was willing to ship it, I'd have a big fat bid on it!

I believe the wringers were available in all the colors the automatics were. You don't see a lot of them but they are around. I've seen them in harvest gold, avocado and coppertone, and this by far is not the first pink one I've seen. Don't think I've come across a turquoise one yet tho...
