hi guys! I'm back here after a long break. Still looking for a vintage dishwasher for me. I wonder if one of our European members could sell one of my preferred dishwashers to me.
I'm especially looking for:
. American Kitchens or Crosley roto-rack d/w
. Kenwood Dishmaster
. Bauknecht/Hoover/Rex/Naonis roto-rack d/w
. GE/CGE/Frigidaire/Indesit top-load d/w
. any other brand from the 50'/60', either top-load or roto-rack type
Only appliances in good conditions and still working.
Could arrange for pick-up if seller is in Italy or neighbouring countries, otherwise shipment required.
Thanks!
Ermanno

Wow that is really a neat dishwasher. I have never seen racks like that before. I wonder how well they really worked and if much space was lost? Thanks for sharing. Terry

I agree with Terry - that is truly a very interesting rack design. I'd sure like to see more information about this Hoover dishwasher.

Ermanno, what year was this machine produced?

Mike

Hoover Auto-Jet dishwasher

Hi Mike!
This was probably the first (or one of the very first) Hoover dishwasher ever produced. It was manufactured in the early sixties but I'm not sure about the years.
It is almost exactly the same type produced by REX and NAONIS here in Italy from mid sixties to mid seventies approximately.
These dishwashers, especially REX, were quite popular here in Italy at that time. Probably one of the first dishwashers with full rotating rack produced in Europe was the German BAUKNECHT GS1/GS2 type which was in production, if I'm not wrong, already in 1962. Here is a picture of it...
PS. this is my dream dishwasher !!!
Hi to everybody!
