Bosch has announced it will be exporting the United States made Nexxt laundry appliances to Germany for sale. Apparently there is a growing market in Europe for large "American" sized washers and dryers.

The washer will run on 220v/240v power and has been redesigned to heat water to a higher temp than it's American cousin.

I noticed that this washer is also shown on the British Bosch website (link below). I also noticed that they don't show the matching dryer. In the Netherlands there are several of these mega sized frontloaders available (Bauknecht BIG, same as Hettie and Duet and the LG with contol panel on the back). However none of these brands sell a matching dryer. I think that makes no sense at all, if you have such a washer you want a big dryer too. I can't imagine doing a big load of laundry in a mega washer and then dry two loads in a small European sized dryer. What are they thinking?

The problem with the dryers that the dryer use to much electricity. They should have a E-rating in stade of a C-rating moste dryers have. Maby it is time to reintroduce the halo of heat system. I think is used less energy. Maybe with a few changes.
