Hi Darren

Yeah i noticed that aswell a few weeks ago while searching for a new machine, maybe they had a load stock piled, was tempted to get one but ended up getting an AEG machine as its a 1600 spin.....

I thought it might of been a mistake but if they are still on there... who knows lol

Trust me, that machine the wma50 is ace, no balancing crap and spins well but thats only 1000, mines 1400 and dont forget the powerstream wash system and excellent wash n rinse performance and spin is really good too. Not like newer hotpoints.

I'm wondering, how much drying time is actually saved with a 1400 or 1600RPM spin? Our Speed Queen top loader is a relative snail ("fast" speed is 710RPM), yet even our heaviest bath sheets take only 40 minutes to dry. Regular clothes are done in 25-30 minutes.

At some point the faster spins won't remove any more water from your clothes, they'll just wrinkle the heck out of them.

Time is a presicous resource, that only runs in one directio

Euro dryers are only 2,500w whereas North American ones use 5,000w.

Without a super-fast spin you'd be there all day with Euro dryers to get 1/2 a load done.

oohhh wait, you ARE there all day with euro washers and dryers..

(ducks and runs!)

:-)

It must be an old picture as it is currently out of stock. They won't go back to producing WMA's again.

The drum is more better and more stronger, i've never had paddle problems and the wool wash, distribution starts smoothly unlike newer machines which cause a huge inbalance. Plus it boost washing performance due to powerstream wash system.

Hope it helps.
