Can anyone tell me what year my dishwasher was produced? The model number is DP840SWKX0, and the serial number is FP024985. It's been on heck of a dishwasher so far.

It's a Whirlpool DuraWash, not PowerClean.

The only thing I don't like about it are the two towers in the middle of each rack. It's a little noisy but I'm used to the sound and I like listening to it.

I have a Durawash as well, and so far I like it. It has a mechanical timer and none of the electronic digital stuff. Although it doesn't have a food chopper, it still cleans very well so far and runs a very fast cycle. No bells, no whistles, and not everybody would like it. But it suits my purpose just fine. I especially like how the timer shows the progress, and this is something you don't get with a digital GE! I'm with autowasherfreak: It's a bit loud, but the noise really doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I prefer a little noise over quiet.

I like the noise, it lets me know it washing, and when all is quiet, it's time to unhook it from the sink and move it back to it's parking spot.
