This is a set I recently aquired. What's wrong with this picture? SOMEONE STOLE THE LID!

Thank you to our own resident Mr Lonely, Red Carpet Drew, this KA108 will live on to continue doing laundry. Another example of members helping members!

Very nice, but....

what does the "K" stand for? I've noticed recently people saying "CA" and now "KA" etc. From what I remembered it was A (automatic I assume) 106, etc. and the dryers were DE (electric) or DG (gas).

Apparently bleach dispensers spread further down the line as the years went on. IIRC, it only came on a "6" or "8" machine at one time...

A=White
CA=Coppertone
GA=? (I forget)
HA=Harvest Gold
KA=Avocado
PA=Pink
TA=Turquoise
YA=Yellow

What am I missing besides Harvest Wheat?

Lid looks good. Too bad it isn't a perfect match, or just sun bleached.

Interesting never knew that. Thanks!

Probably sun bleached a bit. It's a close match to the unshaded part of the front panel.

Don't forget LA = Light Almond.

I don't think there's any way to tell code-wise between the shaded and unshaded gold/avocado/coppertone models.

I'm glad it worked for you! The KA407 that lid came off of had lived a hard life, even for a Maytag! I was a little worried it might not work. YAY!!!

There also was an HA. I can not remember the shade difference between GA and HA. I think HA may have come later.
