My old BD Kenmore did that. It would just barely move back and forth during draining. |

We had a Montgomery Ward Norge that did the same thing; it would slowly try to agitate as the machine drained, and if you didn't have a full load of clothes to hold the agitator still, it would keep fighting against the clothes before the brake released and started the spin. I was told it was a problem torque spring. We took the high road and ignored the issue, and decided it was only a problem if you opened the lid to look :-) |
