My washer has been making strange noises when distributing, and now when i turn the drum it makes the same noise! could it be that the belt needs tightening? or is it the actual drum itself? maybe now as i've mentioned the loud squeaky noise as i turn the drum one of you guys might be able to tell me what the problem might be! it's comin up to 5 years old.

Thanks

Neil

Is it a rumbling sound, and dose the drum feel like it’s rolling over chippings or potholes, if so, most likely the bearings.

I wouldn't worry

things like that happen all the time, one moment theres a funny noise, the next it's dissappeared.

If it comes back and stays back, and starts to get worse, then you may have a problem.

bearings

unusual noise during movement of the drum normally means BEARINGS, and in modern day machines, that means the end of the appliance's life
