That Kenmore 70 series that you found in the "field of broken dreams"--is it still there?

Reason I ask is that I have eyeteeth ready to send (okay, well, money) if that thing has the lint filter cartridge and latch still in it. My '61 Seventy doesn't have either, and my recirculated water just blorps everywhere :-(

Please let me know if that's there and/or snaggable--I'll definitely compensate you for your time and efforts!!

Thanks!

Nate, I specifically looked at that picture just for this very need. I may be wrong, but I didn't see the cartridge there. I saw too much of the "stem" behind the thing you grab and turn to unlock to pull the cartridge out.

filter cartridge

Have you checked to see if maybe the cartridge and latch are still available? You'd be surprised..... If nothing elese, you'll at least get a part nubmer to go on when searching. People are a lot more willing to help when you have a prt number and they don't have to look things up in books.

The part no should be 86906 or 80955, 81019, 86907, 92089. Best to get your model no and look it up for sure. A quick look at my supplier, Sears and Partselect.com came up with NLA. There is also a similar filter for Whirlpool part no 80604. Not sure what the difference is though.

Robert
It seems when I post pics that take a long time to upload, thats when the multiple posts happen. I am on dial up if that makes a difference. Two of these can of course be deleted along with this post.

Hey everyone!

Happy ending! Steve R. was kind enough to snag me the cartridge filter!!

A MILLION thank-yous to him (and to all of you for your help and part numbers--you guys are always so wonderful to come to my rescue when I need help--hope I can return the favor someday!), as that puppy is indeed NLA.

Yay!! :-D
