mis-labeled and over priced, but still unique! Ad says "Hotpoint" but if you look closely you can see the "General Electric" name on the backplate. Appears to have a magnetic catch on the door but has a pull. Yellow - predates "Harvest Gold". My guess would be early 60's?

It kinda looks like that BOL Kenmore that did not have the dial on the control panel and only had the brand name on the control panel. My Grandparents once had one of those.

GE marketed this as the "Sunshine Dryer" and it was only available in yellow and sold for $99.00, in the late 50s to early 60s. It could usually be operated on either 120 or 230, but I was told that there were some models that were made to operate on 120 only. The timer went up over two hours. There were occasional ads for this dryer in Better Hams & Giblets and American Home, usually during the late fall and winter months with a window showing wretched weather outside or children coming through the door in those yellow raincoats and other rain gear.

I did see one Hotpoint model in gas.
