zodawash's profile picture
Yes Philip your right it's a Servis lol. With 4 drum paddles it makes interesting action!

Well for £2.20 how could I resist. I does actually do a good job now i've done two loads in it. Generally very quiet apart from the pump and servis pumps are always a bit on the noisy side I find.

It will fetch me £100+ with a proper description on ebay, something that caused it to sell for £2.20 in the first place. If you cant spell get someone else to list your item lol
Steve

daily wash

zodawash's profile picture
I think it was about an hour. I did a load with it. It did only 2 rinses and a 800 spin. Came out all clean though. I also did a quick wash at 35 degrees. Not tried the main cottons yet

Servis or not, that was a very wise purchase!!

My sister had a silver version of one of them. It looked smart & seemed smooth & quiet during the main wash, but she said the spin was very noisy.

We sold it after 12 months as she moved back home but ive seen quite a few broken already. Even so, for £2.20, who cares if it breaks!

servis

zodawash's profile picture
Its quieter than my Beko on full spin and thats fairly quiet. I've had a few Servis machines and this pretty much does the same as the previous ones. Only difference is it fills halfway with no detergent then adds it on 2nd fill so it doesn't end up in the sump, plus the door unlocks pretty quick. steve

Fairly Quiet....

Oh right, maybe my sisters one was dodgy! I only ever heard it on the main wash & it was quieter than my parents Zanussi Essential at that point, but as for the rest of the cycle, ive gotta go by what she told me.

Hi Steve

Good purchase. You really cant baulk at paying £2.20 for something like that.
Good luck with it. I cant comment on that model specifically, as my knowledge of modern Servis is very sparse and my opinions are only formulated by what people say of the modern brand, so we sha'nt go there eh.

Heres to a hopefully trouble free future.
Paul

quick wash

zodawash's profile picture
Well today i did a 40 min 35 degree quick wash which produced a very clean load so good job done there. I also took the machine apart to have a look. They've made a few changes to previous Servis machines. New style pump, cables clipped in neatly and this has the new version control module that they brought out called the Janus which is programmable to each model of machine rather than different modules for different models.

The tub only just fits in the cabinet its very tight and hence needs good spin balancing.

I'm ready to do a whites wash with video camera being charged up so you can see it in action. Will post over the weekend.
Steve
