Anyone know where I can find a replacement agitator and cap for a vistamatic Kenmore wringer? I think this model had a straight vane instead of the fat rotoswirl. Would a surgilator from a Whirlpool fit? Thanks for any help.

But give a telephone call to Sears PartsDirect. Even when parts are not listed on the website, Sears often has stock for Kenmore, Whirlpool and other appliances long out of production, and when other places say parts are NLA.

Case in point Sears still has parts for my vintage Harvest Gold Whirlpool dryer.

If you give them the model number of the washer, if available Sears PartsDirect will be able to look up the parts list and such for your unit. Even if the part you seek is NLA, at least with the part number for the agitator you have something to go on.

I have a few Roto-swirl agitators for the visimatic wringer washer. A surgilator from an automatic machine will not fit...too tall.

I believe there is a different drive block for the Visi Roto Swirl than for the straight vane. Seems to me on the POD for the Kenmore catalog parts page it states that you can't swap agitators.

We forgot to see if the straight-vane will fit inside the Visamatic when I came to visit your "Shop of Wonders." There were just too many cool things for me to concentrate. Next time you're at the shop, swap the agitators and see what happens. If this has already been solved, no offense.

Fellow Clubbers, Walt has amazing stuff--a huge variety. You'd have to see it to believe it.
