I have to confess that everytime i have to do with a "new" (perhaps to me) washer I stick to it to see each step of the cycle.

Modern washers with PC boards are even more entertaining cause a stated cycle changes time by time, depending on the load.

Anyway I go crazy everytime I run into a cycle diagram like this one (Miele 420 / 520 taken from das waschmaschinen-forum.de)

Here's an old one for a Duet washer from 2001. It's a pitty they never created an all-new service manual for these machines as so many things have changed of the years (steam cycles, oxi option,...) Duet Service Manual

Here's one for a Resource Saver dishwasher from Whirlpool (bottom of second page): Whirlpool HE Dishwasher

LG has some (old ones), too. 2688 washer, 7811 dishwasher

Thanks !!

@ Alex - I didn't know the Duets have pulse spins.

@ Diomede : what about water levels, cooldowns, cadence ?
At those times here in Italy the thought of washing polyester at 60°C was considered a sin *LOL*

Just noted these stone age mieles had stronger cadence than modern ones (13 sec tumble / 2 sec pause vs 11/4 )

Ciao !!
Carlo

level, cooldown, cadence

Ciao Carlo,

The program was built to manage a machine with 2 levels:
- prewashes, rinses, and whole cycle 5-6-7 HIGH LEVEL (22-23 litri per 5Kg)
- mainwash and all the rest LOW WATER LEVEL (9-11 litri per 5Kg)

There is not a cooldown phases but you could set when spin or not each one you see "centrifuga".

The "cadence" (right to haven't say "rythm" :D) is 13-2-13sec. jut like the old superautomatica, but on the machine I'm mounting the PLC now I had to set 12-3-12 cause to the motor warming-up.

During the heating phase and in cycles 5-6-7 the puase is longer so 12-3-12(pause) and so on...

The times are referred to the agitation when the temperature is reached. The heating time depends on the temperatures of water cause the machine is hot and cold fill thought.

Maybe it's due to the Holzer timer !?

Miele still has the 13/2 rythm

at least mine has, build in 2000. But it's true that miele has different rythms, so maybe your 11/4 is one of them!

@ askomiele - do trust you! me and my sister have both the W844 (her one is 1 year older). Both machines look identical yet there are some differences . E.g. with "short" option engaged, once the target temp is reached my machine has a shorter wash bath time

@ diomede - are these the original levels from Comerio works ?

- cadence .... "rythm" could be appropriated with the "windeln" programm on the old mieles *LOL*
not a case the FIAT Ritmo abroad was badged as Fiat STRADA ..

What about the Ford Escort ?? Our dear prime minister just bought one here : www.daddario.it... *LOL*
(not a joke, it's a real car dealer in Milan .. and sells Ford too. Can't resist *double LOL*)

pipe for those non aware of italian comedies

Assolutamente NO!

I reset completely the level system and anyway the orginal levelswitch had only one level (the second was provided by time) while the project needs two.
