1960s Fisholow Automatic dryer in Aldershot - Fisholow was the brand name of appliances built by Fisher & Ludlow, who were better known for building car bodies for BMC, their parent company.

How do Simon.

all wonderful machines on offer.

That Liberator has been relisted twice now I think. Condition would appear to be putting people off. Were I to have the space, I would have bid myself (also on the hotpoint compact dryer they are selling too).
Note to people - its a 1509/10 version, which was the last liberator machine! ..... Richard - any room?

The Servis 601 looks fantastic and is a couple of junctions up the M1 from me. Am checking a few things before deciding what to do with that one ..... Steven (Zodawash) - I have sent you an e-mail.

I have never seen the Fishlow version of the Bendix dryer before and a piccy has been saved straight to my hard drive. I had never heard of the brand, until Mike mentioned the name in a thread recentlt.
Alas - too far away for me.

Will do my own trawl over the next few days and will post any goodies I find, here.

Cheers
Paul
p.s cheers for the 375 bag - turned up last week. Was washed yesterday and the metalwork was repainted earlier this afternoon. Will take it to my parents, in a couple of weeks, and see if my mum can darn the small holes (I am naff with a needle and thread!). Cant wait to attach it to our 375.

Fisholow dryer

That dryer looks very similar to the Astor dryer we had when I was a kid. The knobs are identical.

The door was hollow, the airflow was through the drum, through the lint screen on the inside of the door, inside the door panel to a little aperture in the top edge of the door to a duct which ran the depth of the dryer cabinet, to vent out the back.

The drum was driven by a rubber-tyred idler pulley, not by a belt round the drum like most Aussie and UK dryers I know of. It was a very solidly made dryer.

It was made in Australia by AEI, but the Astor name eventually became part of Philips Australia.

Chris.

I post this one cause of its extreme rarity value!

A Hotpoint 9538, in Polar White, that is still bright Polar White!

If this little nipper was close buy me....

and even though it would take up valuable room, I will still get it.

A neat and tidy Creda 300RS still with the advertising sticker on, proudly proclaiming exclusively for Rumbelows!

Only a couple of hours left on this one!

First Generation Logic 1100 is great condition.

I think this is model A3576 and you can just catch a glimpse of the kick strip on the bottom of the cabinet.

Second Generation A36XX machines had an inset kickstrip, whilst the first used electron bodyshells.

Creda Dryer

electron1100's profile picture
That Creda is rather stlyish and looks to be in good condition.......

The Logic well what can you say (too high a starting bid), still stylish and good machines, pity the one behind wont last as long

Sod all in work today, beaten up Hoover Steam iron was about it, the rest were the usual modern Indesit/Hotpoint oh and a proline dishwasher..... :-( dull day

logic 1100

Paul your quite correct, further evidence of your theory is confirmed by the electron type door catch, just visible between the door and the shell. Subsequent logics had the metal hook type catch, as your ecologic 1300 has.

Mathew
