Just saw these in an apartment building in Queens, NY. (As RuPaul use to say when he was DJ-ing on a local NYC radio station "HI QUEENS!). Are these domestic (home-use) Whirlpools with a money slot?

Dryers. Sorry I could not get better close-ups. I was on-the-job and on-the-clock when I took these.
