Just saw these in an apartment building in Queens, NY.
(As RuPaul use to say when he was DJ-ing on a local NYC radio station "HI QUEENS!).

Are these domestic (home-use) Whirlpools with a money slot?

Dryers.

Sorry I could not get better close-ups. I was on-the-job and on-the-clock when I took these.

They look cool

but unless they have a beefed up interior they won't be much use, I don't really see why they would put a dispenser drawer on them, surely having the dispenser on top is more practical in a situation where the machines can't be stacked or placed under a counter top.

I must say I really like the doors on the dryers, lol.

At least they will have pumps that will better handle things like coins, pins, nails, etc due to the clean out traps. That plastic window front won't last long, tho. The dryers look like standard W/P fare...

Yes, they are Whirlpool machines with big Vacuum Florescent Dsiplays. I remember seeing a ThinTwin with a door that had a window a few years ago. Now that I think of it, those doors do look like microwave oven doors. Yes, they do look nice. Are they beefed up? I don't thnk so, but I could be wrong. Did Whirlpool kill off the commercial Neptunes? Does anyone know if Whirlpool has taken over manufactureing the bigger commercial FL machines? I thought Primus still made them for Maytag.

According to WP, they did beef up the machine. Seems to me that they are also using the "commercial" word in marketing for the home machine.

Larger commercial machines are indeed Primus.
