The updated/refreshed version of the 9700 has finally made its debut at the Whirlpool website. New: *1400 rpm spin speed *FanFresh technology With a 4.5 cu. ft. drum spinning at 1400 rpm, you have some serious extraction going on! The FanFresh option features an "ultra-low energy" fan blowing and occasional tumbling for up to 10 hours after a cycle is completed; to decrease the chance of bad smells, I suppose? |

Too bad, I thought the FanFresh would help to air the washer drum etc. for those people who prefer/have to close the door after washing. Like: unload the washer, hit FanFresh and the fan will draw in fresh, dry air through the small opening in the dispenser drawer to dry the inside of the washer. Max Rinse is the same as SkinCare Rinse on Kenmores, I suppose. Interestingly, Miele lowered the spin speed on the second edition of their super-capacity washers from 1400 to 1300. |
