Unfortunately, there is no BOOSTED HOT on these and the dryers are electric. But the price still aint too bad.

Since they are Speed Queens, that may not be a bad deal in spite of the lack of water heating capabilities. I recently looked at a Speed Queen front loader, and felt that it was built more solid than the others in the store. I thought the construction of that machine was as good as a Miele, and it may have even been better because you can't use a regular detergent in a Miele. But you can in the Speed Queen, just smaller amounts. Obviously, the final price will very much depend on their condition.

I think I may go have a look for myself. If they got a mess of them in the showroom, there could be a slim chance that a couple have to BOOSTED HOT and the girl didn't check them all.

If I happen to pick up a set, I'll be sure to post a video or two detailing these machines. I like that Speed Queen has uploaded some videos to youtube, but they don't really provide much information. They should at least have a video of the machines in action.

Seen It Today

Well, I went by the showroom today and had a look at these machines for myself. Unfortunately, none of them had the BOOSTED HOT option. However, I was able to see a unit loaded with towels in operation. I was amazed at how quiet the machine is, both filling and pumping water out. No annoying pump noise like on the LG's I currently have at home. And I must say the no nonsense balance and ramp up to spin speed was refreshing. I realized how long it had been since I had seen a non-tilted true horizontal axis machine. I think it had plenty of water in it as it splashed up on the door repeatedly. Trying to decide whether to go back and grab one at 300 bills to play with in the garage or go ahead and order new with a heater. Since the guy has hundreds of machines behind his shop in storage waiting for space on his showroom floor, I can think about it for a week or so.

Just thought I would share my impressions...
