John, that aluminum gooseneck on the hose is a dead giveaway

Does this old beauty really have a pump? Check, will ya?

Finds like these ensure the Maytag legacy of "Never say die."

And the drain port is under the agitator--very advanced and unusual.

Congratulations!

Wow much to my surprise it does have a pump it`s got a coupler
that runs off the back of the motor i think this model was made as late as 1930 as that is the last patent date on the decal tag and may be the 1st round tub machine made as early models had that shallow square tub anyone know ??

I knew it had to be, but I was still shocked to see a pump o

the gravity drain models have a white spout at the neck. That's amazing. Have you checked to see if she pumps? You're probably right about this being the first round tub. When Geoff see this, he'll know for sure.

Then contact the seller listed. The man owns and runs a Maytag wringer washer parts and appliance store in upstate NY, and knows the stuff backwards and forwards.

That has to be one of the nicest units they made prior to the porcelain and stainless models.

Looks like the last patent date in July 2, 1935. So probably was made between then and about '39, as I think that was when the models they made up until the end were introduced.
