Hey everyone,

was just looking at you tube, ever hopeful i'll find a vid of the philips series 90 (which i never will, same as i always surf ebay in the hope i'll actually be able to buy one! sigh)

anyways I found this video: see link

this machine looks a lot like the white 'elite' version of the series 90 (pictured)

did philips machines sell as 'ignis' on the main land back in the day? they look very similar, except this video is presumably of the final rinse and it doesn't seem to perform the notorious series 90 spin rinse at the end as my old machine did!

yes ........

... somewhere i have a Ignis brochure with this serie. Indeed this very 1200 rpm machine was never badged as Ignis. The Ignis one looked the same but was 850 rpm max

Anyway Whirlpool still rebadges as Ignis : www.ignis.it...

The old Borghi/Ignis works now are part of the biggest Whirlpool european plant in Varese province (Comerio and Cassinetta di Biandronno)

My clue is that even before Philips purchased Baucknecht in .DE Ignis in .IT and Laden/Vedette in .FR there was already some partnerships between them.

sorry... forgot to say ....

Ignis appliances were/are sold only in Italy. Today they are even more budget stuff than whirlpool
