Today, I went over to the house where my recent 1-18 find is currently living to have a closer look. First I have to confess I had the wrong model number - it is actually W-2 and the first digit of the serial number is a 4, so I am assuming it is a 1974 model. I did a closer inspection of the cabinet and noted that while the top and lid are in perfect, if grungy shape, the left side at the bottom is rusted somewhat and the paint on that side of the cabinet is worn. Interesting- that is the side next to the wash sink..... I probably will be getting it sometime next week, but since the new owners are gutting the house, I may go back and start cleaning it up. Any ideas about the rust - especially with the color of the machine?

Take a sample of the color, like maybe the front panel,to a paint supplier,to do a color match.
