I've Told Ya
There is an active and growing number of persons looking for scrap metal combing CL appliance and other sections. If the cost of the unit or units is low enough that it makes good business, such persons will pick up the old appliance or appliances and make their money back at the salvage yard. One even finds such persons bodly advertising for such things right on CL. Old and vintage appliances are of particular interest because the high amount of metal used in those days. My Whirlpool portable washer weighs in at over 200lbs for such a "small" appliance. | ||

They do search for scrap metal here and i must add more efficiently than the city, It's same day service. arthur | ||
