Hi everybody,
I am trying to repair a 'keymatic' from 1961 with a blue drum and an impeller. The pressure switch hose is broken and then I am doing a system of automatic closing of the water. Does anybody know what level the water should reach in the drum? In addition, I'd like to read the instructions book if someone has it...
In advance, thank you for your reply.
I'll send pictures as soon as I can!
Bert

Hi Bert, is this another new addition?? When the machine is filling the drum, when properly suspended, the drum drops back 45 degrees, if you watch it it looks like its going to end up horizontal!!! The water level should be in line with the bottom of the door seal, i.e the water doesnt come up over the seal in normal use....there will be a lot of water in the drum and it should just cover the impellar, hence the impeller sits high on the water line!!!

I have instructions for the A3226...

Thank you for this information. I just had this machine as a gift in my museum lamachinealaver.com. There are repairs to be done and I will keep you informed. I have the first model (the indicator is rectangular). See you soon with pics. Bert

Hi Didier.

Great news to hear that another 3224 is preserved.
Good luck with the rebuild - I note that Mike has already posted an exploded image of the machines internals elsewhere.

Cant wait to see piccies of the machine, eith er here or on your site.

Quick question for you about another of your machines - your Hoover de luxe 128. What is the model number on the ratings plate of this machine?
In the UK we had the A1004 and am intrigued to know whether it was sold elsewhere with the same model number.

Cheers and once again - congrats on the 3224.
paul

p.s if you find a supplier of door gaskets - tell the world about it!

That is the main item which most slant front keymatic owners are after and the only thing preventing many a machine from taking on water.

Paul
