Is there anyway to adjust(RESET) and add more water to washtub while using the 806, 606, etc. (LARGE) setting? Supposed you need to add more, what do you do?

My A408 has 4 buttons small, med, reg and lge.If I press ther large button and hold it in once the machine begins agitating,it stops and will add more water until I either release it or the machine reaches it's highest level.Almost overflowing.

Knob

Take the cover off the control panel by removing the two phillips head screws. Look at the swith for the load size selector and you'll see either a plastic gnurled wheel or a small hex screw. Adjust to apply more pressure and then let the machine fill. It only take a 1/4 turn to make a difference.

I love the panel of an 806. I'll own one someday.

Adjust with a grain of salt...

Just remember, the higher the water level the bigger chance of the washer eating clothing during spin. Ideally, the water level should be right around the top row of holes in the spin tub for the highest setting. Usually, the calls where I have to remove eaten clothing are where the level's too high...

EXCELLENT!!!

Does any know if "holding the adjusting water level touch control" on the Maytag A9900 or A9904 Digital Computer Touch Control washer will work the same?

Vern, when you do get a 806, you will love it! I have never had a Maytag until I got my 806. I believe it cleans better than my Frigidaire front loader. Love the sound, and could stand there and watch it wash all day.

Yeah, on those I've had with softener dispenser cup in the top of the agitator, I'd override and let the thing fill until the cup just started to float.

If you set for Medium, and then decide you need Large, open the lid, or push in the timer knob, to stop the action. Then restart, it should start filling again.

Laundromat, it appears you have the answer " If I press the LARGE button and hold it IN once the machine begins agitating, it will stop and add more to the until I either release it...".
Of course, the water shouldn't rise beyond the agitator ribbed(fins).

There isn't any need for screw adjustments, just HOLD and RELEASE the button...COOL!!!.

Yogi, what adjusting you had to make for the Digital? Have you ever tried to hold the large water level setting to see if it would add more water to the tub?

Holding the digital model pad ony gives you a beep, once filled and satisfied thats it!....if you wanted more water you would have to add it manually with a bucket or hose, otherwise set the screw to where you want it, and let it forever fill to that point...never worry or use the small level....only medium and large....don't forget mine is standard capacity with the 50hz conversion, and I'm using an orbital agitator with a helical drive, that machine can move a load BIG TIME...I watch in amazement everytime!
