I started 2 threads; one on WCI/Franklin trannys, and one on WCI/Kelvinator dryers, and nobody answered me as yet. I'm really anxious to learn more about those machines. Can somebody check out the threads and shoot me some info before they run out?

You will likely have to hit on the repairmen who are members of our club. Try Kenny "Goatfarmer" and John "Combo52" for starters, they can also be a source of referral.

You are going to have to start doing some research for yourself. There were some excellent publications in the Repair Master or Motor Master series. They were very thorough with laundry lines and the various brand names were part of the title like Repair Master for Frigidaire Rollermatic Washers. Some of you who have any of these, please look in the back for the listings of all the titles and help with the exact titles covering what this member without a name wants. BTW, it would not hurt to give us a first name if you want to keep tapping our knowledge. You can look for them under Repair Master on Amazon.com or in the technical section of secondhand bookstores. Thrift stores and flea markets are good places to look for these also, especially if you find a flea market booth with someone selling tools and related manuals. Some libraries might even have them if they have not weeded the collections in a long time. Search under the subject of Appliance Repair or Appliances, Repairing. You might try Googling the series or searching for them on WorldCat.com and you might find them on eBay. Some parts houses used to sell these so you might check for them at these places also. These publications have good diagrams which you probably won't get here and chapters on theory of operation, trouble shooting various systems, etc.

No big deal...

I was just asking for some info, that's all. My name is Gary, and I did already introduce myself completely. I seem to be inadvertently rocking the boat, as Unimatic (I take it who is the honcho here) gave me a little blasting already. I hope I don't already have a bad reputation here; I want to be friends with you all.

And besides...

When I first introduced myself, everybody told me to feel free to ask any questions. I have a lot of knowledge that I would gladly share myself.

Gary

Robert,

Disregard that "No big deal" post. My apologies.
