Hi Everyone.
Well, I have pulled out the Old Girl and want to get her running as I have too much time on my hands.

Attached are some pics of a motor ( Thanks Gregm ) that fits the machine.

Now the question... This motor is for a Mobile Maid with Power Shower. My machine does not have Power Shower. Note the 2 "Ports."

One has to be the feed to the Power Shower and the other the drain. How would I determine which is which ?

You can see where the bottom of the pump has a drop in it to feed or drain. Yes it is a reversing motor.

Here's a long shot...

Try putting water into the chamber and spin it clockwise - the water for the 'power shower' should be diverted to the port that was intended to feed it. IIRC, the Mobile Maid impeller turns clockwise to wash, counterclockwise to drain.
None of the GE's I have of this vintage have the power shower alas!!
It's not much, but it might help...
Taking good foster care of any KA toploaders?? LOL

I would bet that it is the one closest to the end of the mini-sump so that would allow the impeller to drive more water into that port to give a more complete pump out with greatest pressure to get rid of the food particles. But I am not an expert.

I can't seem to find the wiring diagram. Looks like this maybe a extended project.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts so far.

if the motor turns clockwise to wash the the port on the right (looking down from your 3rd pic) will be the power shower port. when it reverses to drain the water will be flung into the left side port to drain.

since you don't have a power shower are you simply going to cap off this right side port?

and also, larry in parma had a motor and pump indentical to this one when i was up there last june.

GE Mobile Maid

Please keep us posted on this dishwasher. I grew up with one without a power shower and will someday have another GE Mobile Maid. Good for you to getting started on this. Mike

Hopefully I'll be able to figure this out. My neighbor had 2 of these machines. They were a family of 9 and they ran the crap out of this machine 3-4 times a day.

mike, the worst thing

that can happen is you'll plug the wrong hose port and it will drain during it's wash phase. and that is an easy fix.
