Went shopping today, came back with a few choice pieces!
Starting with a white A208, flanked by a pair of 608's, in Avocado.

Maytag HA806S, and the matching electric dryer! Unusual find, with a suds saver. There is another set of 806's, in Avocado, waiting to be picked up at the same place I found these. No room today.

For good measure.....

The white 'fridge behind this dryer is a 1964 Frigidaire Custom Imperial bottom freezer. Pics to follow when I dig it out.

Closeup of the A608. The owners had these in rental houses, and were surprised to find out that the people that brought the new appliances out really didn't want these. Too old for their inventory of used. So I stepped in.....

Looking them over, I found the owners manuals, with handwritten notes of "purchased April 28, 1976".
Also, the 806 dryer is one of the oddball HOH, with the gold backed console.

Wow, that's a huge Maytag score! Must be a late 74, early 75 806 set for the dryer to have the aluminum dial and gold console. Could you post the serial #....pretty please?

Hope you go back for the other pair of 806's soon!

If I were closer I would seriously consider taking that Harvest 806 set off your hands, I'm a suds-saver kinda guy.

The washer is HA806/794439YD The dryer is HDE806/403361WZ. I'm also curious on a build date.

Also, inside the dryer, I found a new in the package timer, #2-3178 Any clues if it fits this set?

Washer - Febuaray 1976

Dryer - December 1975

I bet that's THE last HOH dryer to come off the assembly line!

203178 is a timer for a 106/206 washer.

Goatfarmer:
The avocado washer looks like a 408 to me.
