Just saw a commercial with Kelly Ripa and now Electrolux is touting the "Perfect Steam" washer (along with the dryer)I think it's a useless feature because it's the water temperature that's important...not a quick burst of steamNow they should have added a "Water Plus" option, that's more important than a little steam in the washI e-mailed Electrolux with my personal thoughts on this matterI also find it very odd that they would add this feature now when LG came up with this gimmick a few years agoI've kind of lost respect for Electrolux
(along with hearing of issues with dishwashers and refridgerators falling short of their intended design).

not to mention

their obvious ploy of using the "Bewitched" theme! Now who do you think they are trying to attract with THAT selection. LOL We must be an emerging market.

The main benefit of the steam cycle is the ability to toss a few items in and refresh rather then having to iron, which I utterly hate to do. It works brilliantly, and as far as I'm concerned, is worth every penny. I've actually brought clothes over to my neighbor's house across the street since she has an LG steam washer, and that thing does a phenomenal job at "ironing".
