I have a Kenmore dryer model 110.7208701G that just started having a strange issue. After the dryer finishes the cycle the light above the timer doesn't turn off and the timer motor continues to run. Would this be a timer issue or start relay switch problem. Please help i don't want to have to put this great dryer to rest. thanks Tom Q.

That sounds like you have "wrinkle guard" selected. It has a seperate "pulse timer" for that function. It should start up and tumble for 10 seconds every 5 minutes or so after the drying cycle is finished. If it doesn't do that, the pulse timer could be stalled. If you use "timed dry" I don't think wrinkle guard works at the end of timed cycle.

Hi The dryer automaticly goes into wrinkle guard from the automatic cycle. What is happening is the timer motor continues to run and will run through the off. I can turn the timer to off the dryer will stop but i still hear the timer motor running. The light stays on and the only way to stop the timer motor is to open the door but the light stays on.

I forgot to mention that the wrinkle guard is still working correctly.

timer is part # 345722 but it's no longer available. You might try Midwest Timer for a rebuilt one.

Matching Washer??

Do you have the matching washer for this dryer?? Just curious as we had one during the 70's and would love to see a picture if you have it. Hope you resolve the timer issue, these were great machines.
