Hi! I'm new at this.

I just bought a house which came with a Blackstone Dryer that was purchased on 6/6/1957. The dryer worked great up until about a week ago. I am not an expert but think it may need a belt(?) as the drum sometimes seems to slip.

The model number is 193 the serial number 348. The dryer is in excellent condition, clean with no signs of rust anywhere.
I have the manual that originally came with the dryer. Even the manual looks new!

Where might I obtain information on this particular dryer? Are parts available that would fit this dryer? Would anyone be interested in purchasing this for their collection?

I also have a Kenmore Washer Heavy Duty (White),model#110.72460110, which was purchased October 18, 19974. This appliance still works also with no signs of rust anywhere. Even the lid is super clean. I have the original Kenmore Laundry guide that came with the washer and a service manual that was purchased in July of 1980.

I have more information if needed. I appreciate any info that you may be able to pass on to me.

Dona

HI!

When I had an Italian made Comb-o-matic front load washer/dryer, the belt became stretched.

I simply took it to a car-parts store and bought, smaller, same size, and larger and then used the best one.

Brought the two back and exchanged for the "right" size- new one in machine and two more as spares.

Good luck.

Sorry, but I cant help more specifically. :-)

Blackstone Dryer

Thanks for the feedback on the dryer. Didn't think anyone was going to return with news. Have been busy and haven't had time to take the top off. Soon... Once I get a good look at what I am dealing with might need some more knowledge. Would like to try and fix it rather than get rid of it.
