Bendix/Philco Duomatic in place

Just thought i would share a view of my grandma's laundry area. She uses the wringer as here main washer and the maytag as a back up. I put in the duomatic...just in case the maytag dies...LOL.

usually simple paint remover, gel type, will take off the old paint with out touching the underneath, just do small sections at a time, and apply with gloves and a rag, DON'T puddle it on and let it sit, rub it on, and rub it back off, changing rag often....do a hidden section first if unsure....

That's awesome that you were able to get this Philco combo! I thought semi-seriously about it.... until I thought about shipping it to Southern Ca.

Sorry but I don't have any ideas about removing the paint, but I wish you all the best with cleaning it up AND I cannot wait to see more photos and hear if/how i works!

Kevin

Oven cleaner will remove paint. Spray it on, but don't let it sit more than a minute or two.

Dawn Power Dissolver removed the paint from my stove drawer very nicely and left the aluminum substrate bright and shiny. I used a micro-fiber washcloth/rag or two and tossed them when I was done.
