So how does one identify that it is the pcb which has developed a fault on the Classixx tumble dryer?
I'm looking at my neighbours which has stopped rotating but all lights up as one would expect.
No obstructions to the drum (it rotates freely by hand-turning) - it just won't rotate when operated.

it sounds more like a motor issue. Check the motor and its relay, not the board. Maybe it's just a disconnected wire because of vibration, no wonder if this dryer is stacked on the washer

Hi John

I don't really know much about such things but I realised you didn't mention if the motor is working or not when switched on.

Was just thinking if the motor is going but the drum is not rotating maybe the belt has snapped?

I apoligise if im stating the obvious to you.

Mark

no no no the induction motors on these are very relaible my moneys on the capacitor, normally a 8mf capacitor.

Unlike a washing machine the motor wont run under its own inertia if the belts broken, (thay have stretch belts).

(classixx is just the name not the model number so without the pnc number, Im guessing the belt or start cap)

good luck
