Capacitor Question

Ok, this relates to my previous post about laundromats and motors. One has 8 1992 model SQ toploaders, and in 2 of them I am having a hard time discerning whether the motor has been replaced or if it simply was the capacitor. On this model the motor simply just starts there is no clicking noise upon starting or anything like the newer models do (think clicking noise like DD machines make when starting up) ANyway now they make the click when the motor starts. The motor still makes the same whirr that it did before during agitation but sounds different during the spin. That makes me think it was just a capacitor or starting relay that was replaced but I'm really not sure.
