I picked this up a few days ago, it's in horrid shape, the transmission is seized and the agitator rubs the wash tub bottom. I was gong to make a post on it but haven't cleaned it up. It's the top of the line, April 1969 2-speed model with the aluminum agitator. It needs TLC, but it's clean and not rusty, there is potential and it's a different, much easier setup to work on than my older 1-speed unit. I got it for $100, not worth it after getting it home but you win some you lose some. The machine also sat out for a few days with water in the pump and hoses, the wash tub hose split and all of the cable retainers are broken so none of the tabs on the front work. On the plus side, the motor is good, and the timer works and the pump is serviceable. The agitator post is going to be the trickiest thing. It's in dire mechanical shape, but I hope I can get it going, I got the user's guide as well. -Tim |
