Just saw this posting, which was listed earlier in the month.

I cannot tell if this is a GM 1-18 or produced sfter WW took over. Someone may want to call.

Someone grab this

Good. I hope someone grabs this. I am out of space or would get it myself.

BTW, Mike, how can you tell it's GM made. The picture is too blurry to see the GM logo. Are there other visual clues?

How I can tell is 1) The lid 2) The crease in the front panel and the toe kick. 3) The top has that deep edge to prevent drips down the sides. That is a 1-18. The WCI built washers had a flat front and a different top to it.

GM Frigidaire is pictured

Pete says he was told it wasn't a 1-18. Wonder if the seller used a pic of someone elses machine that has a similar backsplash to the one he's selling, instead of taking one of his own?

i remember calling about this one

rollermatic's profile picture
and asking the seller if it was the type where the agitator went up and down and he said "no, it is a regular type agitator" so i left it at that.

i could be wrong but i could swear this is the one i saw and called on as it is so close to me. i tried calling him again yesterday and left a message again telling him if it were an "up and down" type i would buy it immediately. he never called back. i'm going to e mail him now.

my guess...

jons1077's profile picture
is the machine pictured is not the one for sale then. I have the nearly identical model to this machine in the same color. WCI machines have a different lid and top. Also the front panel is the GM style that is removable for easy service. WCI machines have a removable panel in the rear. It's a shame doesn't live closer so they could actually view it in person. I know that the machine in this picture (whether it's the one for sale or not) is most certainly a GM made Frigidaire.

you have to think.. most people u ask if the machine has an up and down agitator or not do not know what the heck ur talking about, i wouldn't be surprised if the owner never saw this machine washing with the lid open once!! people used tho think i was weird for watching washers with the lid open. there are a lot of people who could care less about washing machines and agitation, which is sad, they don't know what they are missing! i find it relaxing and therapuetic, when my grandma and uncle died, i was so upset, i just went downstairs and watched my filter flo through 2 loads, made me feel a LOT better.

YES...you would be suprised how many idiots have no idea wether their machine has an agitator or not, or what color it is, if it goes up and down or back and forth, a porcelain or stainless tub, or how old it is......

The BIG magic box!

Just wrap your dudz around that funny thing with the fins that stick out. Stuff 'em in there REAL GOOD. Add soap, turn the knob. Pull that sucker out. No need to sort! It'll all come out smelling like a rose!
